The Story
Clara Lanoue has one month in England to figure out her life. No magic, no plan, no idea what she wants to be when she grows up — which would be less embarrassing if she weren't already grown up. Her aunt and uncle have parked her with the Foster vampire family in Birmingham with one simple brief: find a direction. Come home with something.
What she finds is Isaac Henry. Dark-eyed, Irish-accented, and an avatar for Ashk, a demon of lust. He's upfront about the demon. Less upfront about the deal he's struck: get Clara to make a pact with Ashk, and Isaac finally seals his own.
The problem is that the more time he spends with her, the less interested he is in handing her over to anything.
